The beginning of HyperHistory coincides with the emergence of new styles of civilizations as the result of the interaction between nomadic invaders from the north and the ancient agricultural peoples further south.

Between 1000 and 600 B.C. a distinctive European style of civilization emerged in Greece; an equally distinctive Indian style of life appeared in in the Ganges River valley; and along the Yellow River a Chinese style of civilization asserted itself.

In the Middle East three civilized empires (Babylonia, Assyria, Egypt) struggled for supremacy.
