The Sedgewick Library at the University of British Columbia. The library was built in 1970 and its design has won several architectural prizes. The structure was put partly underground thus integrating it into the parklike setting with eight drums preserving the large oak trees, while the edges have large planter boxes - an early example of an environmentally sensitive design.
