ERMANERIC c.305 - c.376 King of the Ostrogoths Ermaneric established a vast Ostrogothic kingdom from the Baltic to the Black Sea . He struggled successfully with the Romans. Ermaneric committed suicide because he despaired of success-fully resisting the Huns, who invaded his territories in the 370s.
His kingdom was destroyed and his people became subject to
the Huns for 75 years.
