IBN KHALDUN 1332 - 1406 Arab Historian Ibn Khaldun was born in Tunis, North Africa. He held several administrative posts in North Africa and Spain. During his stay in Algeria (1375-79) he wrote his masterpiece 'Muqaddimah' which was one of the earliest non-religious philosophies of history. In 1382 he moved to Egypt where he worked as a teacher and judge and where wrote a history of Muslim North Africa. |
