Greek Historian




Strabo studied in Rome and Alexandria and became a historian and the greatest geographer of antiquity. He travelled in Egypt, Greece, the coast of Africa, and in Asia Minor.

A colossal 17-volume work called 'Geography' surpassed all the geographical writings of antiquity.
In it he described all the parts of the known world. As a historian Strabo recorded the final collapse of the Roman republic and the creation of the Roman empire.
